Corporate Awards:
- To what extent are the federal entities ready to participate in Mohammed Bin Rashid Government Excellence Award?
Having previously completed planning and development of strategies and creation of general performance assessment systems of initiatives and sought-after objectives, federal government entities have become more prepared to adopt the concepts of corporate excellence. Organizational units responsible of corporate excellence have been created in all federal entities in pursuance of a resolution issued by the UAE Cabinet. Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program organizes workshops and training programs for the excellence team members in federal entities to tutor them on how to apply the criteria and requirements of the award and how to develop participation submissions. - Are there any specific arrangements or additional work for the award?
According to the Government Excellence Model and the associated awards it does not require any additional arrangements or work from the entity, as it evaluates the main function of the entity and the governmental development programs that have been implemented within the entities through the results achieved and the evidences presented during the field visits to the assessors and subject matter experts. - Is participation in all categories of the award mandatory?
Yes, participation in all award categories are mandatory on all the federal entities. - Who are the assessors and based on which mechanism they have been selected?
Assessors who are subject matter experts in the work field of the participating entities with international experience are selected, in addition to experts in the field of human resources management, resources and asset management, governance and innovation. - How is the winner selected in the category of the Best Entity in the field of Service Channels Classification?
The award is granted to the entity with the best result in the Global Star Rating System for Services within the scope of the Next Generation Services criteria under the Distinctive Value pillar. - Is "Radar" still used as an evaluation mechanism in the Leading Federal Entity Award assessment?
The Government Excellence Model uses an entirely different assessment tool than the previous evaluation model. Accordingly, "Radar" is no longer accredited as an evaluation mechanism. - The assessors will receive the information electronically. Will field visits be only for the shortlisted entities?
Assessors will visit all federal entities regardless of their submission inputs. - Will other internal performance evaluation systems rather than ADAA System will be considered in the evaluation process?
Any results not included in ADAA system will not be taken into consideration during the evaluation process, since alternative performance monitoring systems are not recommended from the resource efficiency perspective. - Can the entity incorporate new indicators (They were included in the internal systems) into ADAA system with its previous year’s results retroactively?
Only new operational performance indicators can be included in the operational plan for the evaluated years, and if there are indicators for previous years, the results can be presented to the assessors during the field visit. For the strategic performance indicators and priority service indicators, prior approval should be obtained for modification or addition of new indicators. - Are there specific feedback reports issued for each entity after the evaluation process for future improvement and development?
A detailed feedback report will be issued for each entity, including the recommendations, observations and suggestions made by the specialized evaluation teams which to be used by the participating entities to develop their future improvement plans.

The Prime Minister's Medals:
- Can employees make a submission to the Prime Minister’s Medals categories directly to Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program Management?
Nomination for the Prime Minister's Medals categories is made only through the ministry or federal entity where the employee works. One employee from each federal entity is nominated to participate in each of the Prime Minister's Medals categories by the entity expect in the below medals and based on a certain number:
- The Prime Minister’s Medal for Distinguished Doctor
- The Prime Minister’s Medal for Distinguished Teacher
- The Prime Minister’s Medal for Distinguished School Principle
- Under which category of Prime Minister’s Medals can the Assistant Undersecretary and Executive Director and participate?
A category is dedicated for the Assistant Undersecretary and the Executive Director within the categories of the Prime Minister's Medals (The Prime Minister’s Medal for Distinguished Assistant Undersecretary/ Executive Director) where a holistic assessment will be carried out for all Assistant Undersecretaries and Executive Directors in the federal entities. - For the Prime Minister’s Medal for the Distinguished Innovator, do inventions have to be registered? Does registration affect the evaluation process?
The inventions made by the nominated employee do not necessarily have to be registered or have been granted patents as a condition, but the presence of inventions or patents is considered an achievement for the candidate. - Will the Global Star Rating System for Services results be part of the Prime Minister’s Medal for the field of Customer Happiness evaluation?
Yes, the results of the Global Star Rating System for Services will be counted as one of the evaluation inputs for the Prime Minister’s Medal for the field of Customer Happiness and that's for the service channels related to his work.
